New European Bauhaus and Universal Design Practices

We are pleased to be presenting the course "New European Bauhaus and Universal Design Practices," sponsored by Demetra Formazione. This initiative explores the principles of the New European Bauhaus and Universal Design, with a particular focus on inclusive design, sustainability, and the aesthetic quality of spaces. In our presentation, we will present a selection of Architectural Barrier Elimination Plans (PEBA) developed by our firm in recent years, illustrating methodologies, tools, and solutions applied to diverse contexts: historic buildings, public spaces, museum complexes, and urban systems. The training program provides participants with skills useful for drafting PEBAs and introduces approaches that consider gender differences, physical and cognitive disabilities, and the use of innovative techniques to design environments that are truly accessible to all. The course is part of the "Sui generis" project, a free program dedicated to urban regeneration that integrates technical aspects, social dimensions, and innovation policies. We are honored to contribute our experience to a journey aimed at spreading accessibility and conscious design practices in keeping with contemporary European values.
