We are thrilled to announce that we have successfully completed three Plans for the Removal of Architectural Barriers (PEBA) for iconic buildings in Bologna: the Pinacoteca Nazionale, with its headquarters in the former convent of Sant’Ignazio and Palazzo Pepoli Campogrande, and theState Archives in the former Celestine Convent. The PEBAs that we have developed analyze in detail the critical issues linked to a vast range of disabilities (physical, cognitive, sensorial) and propose practical and sustainable solutions, accompanied by a three-year planning of interventions. These historic places can become more accessible, allowing everyone to appreciate their beauty and cultural value. With our design approach, which we have called "design ability", we believe we can transform the challenge of accessibility into an opportunity to create inclusive and welcoming environments for everyone. We thank the institutions for the trust placed in us and look forward with enthusiasm to the next projects!
